El cuarteto de Leeds, Adult Jazz presenta el tema "Earrings Off!"; el segundo avance de su nueva impresión para el legendario sello discográfico Tri Angle Records (follow-up de su álbum debut de 2014 "Gist Is").
Tras el lanzamiento del corte electrónico "Eggshell", la banda de Harry Burgess ofrece una dislocada y compleja rendición de música pop, inspirada en temáticas sobre la identidad de género -junto al tratamiento visual surrealista del director Sam Travis.-
Burgess, comenta sobre el tema:
"It's about an idealized gender archetype that we all carry around in the back of our minds." "Even to subvert it, the archetype has to be firmly present in you. No one is immune to gender shame. Immunity is curated and learnt, and often arrived at intellectually through lots of unlearning. It's hard to surpass the pretty brutal conditioning of infants and children that we all sanction in the name of binary gender! What would you be like if you weren't told you were a boy or girl?"
Earrings Off! será publicado el 20 de mayo en Tri Angle Records.
